How long have you had it? Who is the maker/model? Please don't reply if you get a NEW phone each year. I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck. BUT not at the expense of a high quality phone ...photo's etc etc. Senior here and have to learn regardless.

I'm and iphone guy and usually get a new phone every years.

I have an 11 (got it around xmas time).

Not sure if you are married or not but you'll see many buy 1 get 1 specials on older iphones.

You could probably get an iphone 6, 7, or 8 (whatever the promo is) 2 phones for about $750 total. What they'll do is have you pay the $750 over 24 months into your bill.

I've had iphones since 2009. Being someone who likes sports/ social media/ checks emails/ texts/takes pics/"plays a little", its has paid DIVIDENDS having an iphone

I have an IPhone 11 - I used to have the Samsung S8 - the S8 seems like a better for for the money - probably get a good deal on one - though you may want to wait as 5G phones are allegedly coming this fall

Seymour, from my limited or maybe lots of reading; Apple supports their newest model for 5 years, where as Samsung only supports their for 3 years. I have done a chat with Verizon and told them I want an easy to learn phone and the "chat robot" suggested an Iphone se 2020. Will see when I can get in the store without an appointment.

I'm hugely leaning that way! But will need to buy an Iphone for dummies! Verizon told me yesterday they hope to be open sometime in September.. I don't want to use one of the "feeder" stores as i call them. "Verizon"

I could afford it but I will not pay $500 or $1000+ for a frickin phone. I usually get decent LG phone and it will last for a few years. My plan lets me get a new phone for free every year.

If you don’t like your carrier changing both at once is the best thing to do.
I new carrier will throw in all kinds of shit for a new customer are you kidding ?

Just go to potential new carrier and tell them you thinking about switching if you give me a free iPhone .

You would never get that changing one at a time .

No offense but Verizon eats monkey cum. You can go to Metro PCS and get a good smartphone for almost nothing and pay $60 a month (prepaid) for unlimited everything as well as get an internet hotspot. The big carriers like verizon and T-Mobile are ripping everyone off!

Both you and ChopTalk, have made a BIG IMPRESSION on me.. You are both 100% RIGHT. Just assure me that Verizon's service is matched!
I got new glasses last year and the guy and i were talking. He left Verizon for T-Mobile and was very unhappy. Of course one story doesn't make it true

been with iPhone since the first model and I'm so used to it that I can't change it, once I tried a samsung phone only because a friend insisted on doing so. Never got the feeling for it nor was able to get use to it, to me iphone interface is much more user friendly than androids

I got a google phone only because my wife and kids have iPhones and seeing them battle over chargers and shit you’d think they would set mouse traps fucking crazy. Works for me

Just put a new battery in my iPhone 7 plus today. Not upgrading until second generation of 5g phones. Most likely they will obsolete the iPhone 7's and earlier by that time anyway. Might switch to Samsung in future they are offering high powered camera with 100x magnification. Apple is so slow in offering new features. Phones are ridiculously expensive now. I can't imagine losing a $1500 phone. The days of getting a free phone with a two year contract for phones that cost that much are over.

Stick with Verizon and go to verizon.com and choose prepaid...Get the MotorolaE6 for 99 bucks and get the 40.00 plan, and if you prepay it is only 35.00...They ship it to you ready to go and when it gets to you take to store and tell them to import your contacts etc...No problem...Been with Verizon for 20 years and had never paid for a phone until last year...Phone broke at charging port and went to get a new one and stumbled across the prepaid plan...Saved 35.00 a month from what I was paying and get more...Really pissed at myself for paying 70.00 a month for all those years that I did...The people in the store hate when you go thru website....
